This is the inaugural post on my new blog. I’ve been meaning to start writing for a while, and now seemed like the right time.
What to Expect
I’ll be writing about:
- Research — Machine learning applied to agricultural systems, precision irrigation, and sensor networks
- Technology — Tools, workflows, and the craft of building software
- The PhD Journey — The messy, nonlinear path of graduate school
Why Write?
Writing clarifies thinking. There’s something about putting ideas into words that forces precision. Vague notions get exposed. Gaps become visible.
Plus, I’ve learned a lot from others who write publicly. This is my attempt to contribute back.
The Design
This site follows what I call the “Parchment & Rust” aesthetic — a light-mode counterpart to my private dashboard’s “Rust & Ink” theme. Warm creams instead of stark whites. Intentional typography. A color palette inspired by aged paper and oxidized iron.
No tracking. No analytics. Just words.
